Buy Sawtooth Oak Trees for sale at Advanced Nursery Growers in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. Sawtooth Oak, botanically known as Quercus acutissima, is a deciduous oak from Asia named for the bristly teeth along the edges of its leaves.

Sawtooth Oak grows into a broad shade tree and produces acorns with distinctive, shaggy cups. It has historically been planted for acorn production, although its bitter acorns are not a preferred wildlife food compared with many native oaks. The tree needs a large planting area away from buildings and overhead lines.

Florida Planting Note: Sawtooth Oak is not native to Florida. UF/IFAS currently rates it as predicted to be invasive and does not recommend planting it. Customers planning a new wildlife or habitat planting should consider a native oak instead.
